Katie and Marvelyn share a profound love for dental hygiene and a fascination with periodontal disease. Having worked for years in dental practices, they have witnessed firsthand the devastating effects of untreated gum disease on patients’ oral health. Yet, they have also seen the incredible potential for transformation that lay within the realm of periodontal endoscopy. Marvelyn and Katie are among the few who have received specialized training and have experienced the remarkable results this technology can deliver.
“Perio Precise,” was founded with the mission to make periodontal endoscopy common knowledge within the dental community. Our goal is to empower dental professionals to embrace periodontal endoscopy as an essential tool in their practice. Through workshops, seminars, and personalized training sessions, we will share our knowledge and expertise, making it easier to understand the technology, while allowing clinicians to integrate it seamlessly into their daily routines. “Treat patients with vision and precision”. Marvelyn Navarro
Marvelyn Navarro is a dedicated and accomplished dental professional, bringing 14 years of experience in the field of dentistry to her role as a Dental Hygienist. With 7 years of specialization as a dental hygienist, Marvelyn’s passion for oral health and commitment to excellence have earned her a well-deserved reputation as an expert in her field. Since her graduation in 2016, Marvelyn has been on an unceasing quest for knowledge and professional growth. Her dedication to staying at the forefront of the dental industry has driven her to explore new innovative technologies and techniques, making her one of the few clinicians trained in dental endoscopes. She utilizes this cutting-edge equipment to provide her patients with predictable and exceptional results, underscoring her commitment to their oral health.
Marvelyn is not only a clinical educator but also a passionate speaker, leveraging her extensive knowledge to educate her fellow peers on new and innovative technologies in dentistry. Her expertise extends to addressing airway issues, an area of critical importance in oral health. She is a fervent advocate for educating patients on the oral-systemic link and the prevention of airway-related dental issues. Committed to advancing her profession, Marvelyn is an active member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA). She actively seeks opportunities to make a lasting impact on the future of her field, constantly striving to improve patient care and access to dental education.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Marvelyn enjoys a rich and fulfilling personal life. She is a devoted wife and mother of two children, cherishing the time spent with her family. Her adventurous spirit has taken her to 20 different countries, experiencing diverse cultures and expanding her horizons. In her free time, she indulges in her passion for dance, maintains a rigorous workout regimen, and revels in the company of her loved ones.
Katie Benavides
Katie Benavides boasts a diverse career spanning over 18 years in the dental profession. Beginning at Sunburst Dental Labs, she gradually transitioned through various roles, including dental assistant and front office treatment coordinator. Since graduating dental hygiene school from the College of Southern Nevada in 2010, Katie has cultivated a deep-seated passion for oral health. Working alongside periodontists in her first position as dental hygienist, Katie gained a profound knowledge of periodontal disease and treatment modalities.
Katie’s professional journey has propelled her into a seasoned clinician, with a deep understanding of the dental field’s technological evolution. Early on, her laser certification helped her understand the significance of advancing technology in dentistry, allowing her to witness firsthand the evidence-based advantages it provided her patients. Her expertise isn’t limited to lasers; she possesses a keen understanding of oral pathogen analysis, which has played a pivotal role in guiding patients towards periodontal stability. Katie’s commitment to knowledge sharing allows her impactful coaching within dental hygiene departments, where she elevates their comprehension of prevention, periodontal disease diagnosis, treatment, and patient education. With a wealth of experience in utilizing dental endoscopes, she champions the importance of technology, firmly believing that it should be widely embraced throughout the dental profession for the benefit of practitioners and their patients.
Originally from Minnesota, she relocated to Las Vegas during her teenage years and currently balances her roles as a wife and mother of two. She loves spending time with her family, they are huge fans of the Las Vegas Golden Knights. They frequently can be seen attending games together. Katie is fluent in Spanish and loves experiencing different cultures through travel.
